I had a great Senior portrait shoot with Jill Schoeppner. She is such a cute young lady, and a joy to photograph. She will be a Senior at Coal Ridge HS this year. Her mom came along on the shoot, and I really enjoyed getting to know them. Here are a few shots...

I shot a high school senior portrait tonight. But it wasn't just any senior portrait. I got a call on Wednesday from a mom asking if she could set up a portrait session for her daughter. I responded and asked her if she was going to be a senior this year. The mother replied yes, but that they had an unusual circumstance and wondered if I could accomodate them. This woman's daughter had recently been diagnosed with lymphoma. She had just gone through her first round of chemotherapy, and she would lose her hair within a few days. We meshed our schedules, and I had the honor of photographing this beautiful young lady tonight. She was losing her hair throughout the portrait session, but she gave me some sweet moments to capture, and I knew that these photographs would be very special to her family. Her dad and younger brother came along, and we took some family portraits as well. Again, I realized how special those photos would most certainly be.

I thought about this family on my drive home, and thought of how precious each life is, and how we are sometimes so rudely reminded of that. I pray that this young lady will be able to look back on these photographs we took tonight, years from now, and realize how lucky she was and how precious HER life is.

Ruby Marie Lough

A big congratulations to our friends Nic and Autumn Lough, who welcomed Miss Ruby Marie into their lives yesterday! She was 6 pounds, 12 ounces, 19 inches long and big feet! Autumn was a trooper with a 5 hour natural childbirth for her first child. Can't wait to take some pictures of the little bug. We are so happy for you!

Lindsey and Pat had the most beautiful wedding at River Valley Ranch on the famed 07/07/07. Everyone was so relaxed and comfortable before the wedding. Debbie Bannon did a fantastic job coordinating the wedding, and things flowed smoothly because of her organization and preparation. Laura's Sunfresh Flowers in Carbondale provided beautiful flowers, and everything was just perfect (including the weather!). Lindsey looked stunning in her dress, and Pat was most handsome. They are off to Turkey for three weeks. Have fun, guys!

This is one of my favorite shots...

We had so much fun last night shooting Hayley and Ty's engagement photos! Hayley and Ty won our wedding package giveaway at the Wedding of a Lifetime Bridal Fair at the Hotel Colorado this past January. They are getting married on August 4th in Aspen at the Crossroads Church. They were so relaxed and had so much fun just being together. That makes our job so easy! We can't wait to shoot their wedding - they want to do some fun photos afterwards with the wedding party in front of the fountains there in Aspen. Sounds like a ton of fun!
