My baby boy's four!

My baby boy isn't a baby anymore.  He's not even a toddler.  He is a bright little boy who's full of energy.  He loves "lagybugs" and fire trucks and playing in the mud.  And today he turned four.  Four big years for my littlest man.  Four years ago tonight, he was born at home, in the water.  It was the most wonderful, peaceful birth.  He lit up our lives that night and he continues to do so everyday.

He says hilarious things like "I need that clock in my bed so I can tell what temperature it is" and "my tummy doesn't want to shop anymore".  He calls kiwi "keyweed" and he wants "air conditioner" on his hair after the shampoo.  He says "we would have to buy see-through paint to dress up like a ghost" and when I told him he had to nap as long as his body tells him to, he said "Well, my body's telling me to get up!".  When I left for a meeting a few weeks ago, he said "I'm probably going to miss you."  He adores Lucas and wants to do everything just like his brother.  And he misses Nicholas.  He loves his blankie but he has offered to box it up and save it for a baby sister someday (which totally melts my heart).

Just can't say how much we love this little guy and how much joy he brings us.  We thank God everyday for our boys, their health, and the pure blessing of their little lives.  Nothing compares to parenthood, and we celebrate today and everyday.  Life is truly good.

Happy 4th birthday, little man!  Mommy and Daddy love you so much!  Thank you for bringing such joy to our family!
